My Love for Real Estate - Born in Memphis, TN, John Austin grew up living the true meaning of “Southern Hospitality”. As a young man, he also worked in some of the finest restaurants in Scottsdale, Arizona and San Francisco, California. It was there that he discovered his love for meeting new people and providing great customer service. Since then, he hasn’t met a person that he would consider a stranger. Johnn has an undergraduate degree with double emphasis in Ethnomusicology & Spanish Philology from San Francisco State University and Universidad de Complutense Madrid. After graduation, John spent the first 2 years traveling Europe before building a career in event marketing/vacation ownership sales. John’s love for real estate started when he was a youngster helping his father move gravel, paint, tile, roofing, Christmas lights, and many areas of home improvement. Shortly after graduation, he returned to San Diego to be closer to family and happened to volunteer at the convention center doing marketing for real estate. The convention sparked his interest even further being that he's bilingual and so many first-time home buyers are Latino/Spanish speaking families. He loves giving back to his community and sharing the knowledge that he has acquired through his many experiences. Being a real estate agent allows him to do that and so much more. John currently resides in Oceanside, CA and enjoys playing in pre-WW2 swing-era Jazz Big Band or disc-golfing, or having gatherings with his friends.
